Lake Oswego Pétanque ClubThe purpose of the Lake Oswego Pétanque Club is to promote and play pétanque in Clackamas county and the Portland metropolitan area; to provide an opportunity to the public for healthy activities and community engagement; to organize, sponsor and participate in local, Regional, National and International pétanque competitions; and to promote goodwill among people of different social and national backgrounds. The club is a non-profit organization and an affiliated Federation of Pétanque USA club. ⦿ Play is held every Monday evening starting at 4:00 PM at Foothills Park in Lake Oswego during the summer months. The area in which we play is approximately 47 x 18 meters, so there is room for upwards of 15 games. We also have impromptu games throughout the year at Millenium Plaza Park as well as Foothills Park. ⦿ The LOPC is a casual pétanque club, meaning that it is open for play by anyone who wants to play and have fun, although the game itself is played according to the FIPJP international rules. The LOPC is more into people having fun reminiscent of the way it is played in Provence and the South of France on leisurely Sunday afternoons. It is, however a competitive club and not a social club! Contact us for more information.⦿
